Post up to five books that say something about you/represent you, and then other bloggers can find out a bit more about you.
Already thinking about which books might be right (although I may change my mind before August 1st...):
- The Historian, by Elizabeth Kostova, as I'm an archivist and am very familiar with historical research (although have never taken it too these lengths)
- The Namesake, by Jhumpa Lahiri, as I know what its like to live in a clash of cultures.
- The Wall Jumper, by Peter Schneider and Ian McEwan, as I was born and spent my early childhood in a divided (West) Berlin.
- The Eyre Affair, by Jasper Fforde, a caper through the world of many familiar books, and the first in the Thursday Next series.
- I guess Heidi, by Johanna Spyrie, might be an obvious final choice?

you sound like a very interesting person!! I'd never even heard of The Wall Jumper...
Yes, you can always change your mind...
Cool books! I already have one on there I'd definitely like to read :)
Oooh I love Heidi - had forgotten about that one. I am collecting books from my childhood and this one was a favourite. There were a couple of sequels as well - I can't remeber their titles - but did read them all
My grandma bought me Heidi when I was a kid. So sweet. Maybe I'll pick that one.
I really enjoyed the Historian! I think I might just have to read Heidi aloud to my girls this fall! Then we can all experience this book about you!
All of your titles are tempting me! I have to read Eyre Affair for another challenge before this one starts.
I've been wanting to read The Historian, The Namesake and Heidi at some point. The Wall Jumper looks good, too. I'm taking a German class right now, and my ancestry is almost 100% German.
Great titles!
