THE CHALLENGE HAS STARTED AND IS NOW CLOSED TO NEW PARTICIPANTS!!
Everyone has chosen their five books that represent them and is now busily reading away on the books they've chosen to read! I'm looking forward to all the discussions about books that have been chosen. I'm also working on a PDF file that you can print out that includes all the books on the sidebar so that you can continue reading after the challenge is over -- I know you want to read more of these books than you can fit in in the next 5 months!

Awesome! I'm in: nelletravieso (at) gmail dotcom.
I already know I want to pick one of the books you have listed :-). How fun is that? I'm in - bookaddict4life (at) gmail (dot) com.
Okay, I'm crazy, but I'm in..
kookiejar at hotmail dot com
Yes I am definitely in, and have got some thoughts already...
heidijane at lycos dot co dot uk
Lisa...the challenge gets underway on August 1st...when does it end?
Let's say November 31st -- four months. You can choose as many or as few of the books as you like. If we end here, then we won't get into the holiday season too much...
Sounds Great!
I'm in, too! lscher (at) neb(dot)rr(dot)com.
Les
so intriguing, and challenging, just to pick books that define you. How did you think of this??
I want to play too, and get to know other people by their book choices.
raidergirl3 at gmail dot com
now, to find books for me.
This sounds good i'min if thats ok although I will take forever to decide on my books. My email is woah.there.pickle (at) googlemail (dot) com
You're in luck, Book in the Life! This doesn't start till August so you have plenty of time to choose books!! (It's like therapy too, deciding what exactly "defines" you as a person...) can't wait to see your list!
Excellent- off to choose then!
I'm in!
lynneslittlecorner(at)yahoo(dot)com
Lisa, this is such a creative, unusual, wonderful challenge. Count me in. My email is booklogged_reader at yahoo dot com.
Okay, Lisa, I'm in ... emerging DOT paradigm AT yahoo DOT com. I've already picked my five books, at least tentatively. Are you saying we should NOT say why we chose these books, meaning people who read them will have to figure out which aspect of each book says "something about me"?
Oh, my! In for a penny...I'm in.
http://nattierosewrites.com/mt/
Bonnie -- I think you SHOULD say why you picked the books -- basically, after you post your tentative list in the sidebar (you can change it up until August 1st) you can post on the site explaining your choices. This will help people decide which books they'd like to read for the challenge.
I've been meaning to post an explanation of my choices and just haven't gotten around to it yet.
I intended to read one book from every participant, but the list is getting so long, don't know if I'll be able to do it!!!!
NATTIE: You'll have to give me your actual email address for me to invite you to write on the blog...I do like your blog, though!!
This is a very unusual challenge - I would love to be in - my reading challenge blog links off my main one.
I have already got the "Something about me" challenge in my challenge blog - just have to pick my books.

Thanks so much.

Is it too late to join? This looks like fun! I need to think up a list.
kjoywilliams (at) gmail (dot) com.
Yea! Please let me join! I love books and understanding other people through what they like to read... and a good challenge is always fun. Russian Tsarist history, James Herbert, John Connolly, Dan Simmons, travel books, James Rollins, and, yes, even a number of cozy mysteries are piled up throughout my house. Histories, mysteries and more. Please forgive any typos - one, of many, of my cats is sitting on my keyboard. Am I the only one from South Carolina, USA?
Leslie: You have to give me your actual email in order for me to invite you to be a member of the blog! Love to have you!

Hey guys, just a tiny detail: November only has 30 days! Which gives us one less day of procrastination. ;)
Even though I'm slightly overwhelmed with so many other challenges, I think I cannot resist this one. It sounds like so much fun!
laney_po@yahoo.com
i'd like to try this. never done a challenge before. shouldn't we say why we pick the books we do? my e-mail is chasidar AT gmail DOT com
working on my list
Yes, Chasida, you should say why you are picking the books you pick. Look at some of the previous posts and you'll see how people are doing it.
Then come August 1st, you pick some books other bloggers have nominated, and you commit to read them from Aug 1 - Nov 30.
Also, ennavic and angelmamasheart -- I've invited you, but the invitation hasn't been accepted. Check your email spam blocker to make sure your computer isn't discarding my emails as trash. :)
Just realised don't have the groovy logo thingy to put on my blog, wgere do I find the code? Am I being daft:)
I think you can just drag and drop the photo and then link it to this page....that's how I usually do it, but I have a Mac so don't know if it works that way in the PC world...
Hi. I'm jen at cusatis dot net. Thanks!

Cin from Nota Bene
ehm, how do I add my list on the sidebar?Do I have to e-mail it?
Valentina: Sorry - I finally changed the original instructions. Apparently I'm the only one who can enter the books into the sidebar -- so just write a post with your books, and then I'll enter them into the sidebar for you. Let me know if they are fiction, non-fiction, etc. Thanks!
Such a unique idea! I'd love to join.

Is there still room? I'd love to be a part of the reading brigade.
Warm greetings from Chile.
I want the spring here, soon!!!!!
Visit me everybody that want so...
Keep blogging
I have been offline for a little while and can't remember whether I made my list of books chosen from other peoples books, I cannot find it on here but to be honest it took me so long to scan through I could have easily missed it. Is it ok to pick another five books? Obviosuly my original list of books for other people to choose from is still the same! sorry to be a pain:)
Umm, Lisa, this might be an unusual request, but I just saw that the link for my list goes to may old blog. I didn't update it for over a year... Is it possible for you to change the link to http://cozymurders.blogspot.com ? Would be great, thanks!
Hi Lisa, hope you will read this. I noticed that many people haven't tagged their reviews with the name of the books they're reviewing, making it very difficult to find them as soon as they become old. I'd suggest to advice people to edit their posts and add the title of the book on their post tags. Could this be done?
thanks
Heather how in the world do you have 124 comments on one blog !?!? MISS POPULAR!
Can you please remove me from the blog. You can leave my books list up if you wish, but I no longer want to have this blog on my dashboard anymore. Thanks.
